I finally graduated with my masters in music from The University of Houston. I will start working full time as a musician and teacher in the Houston area until I start my DMA in the fall. Still in the process of auditions, but I will keep everyone informed to which schools I am accepted.

It will be fun beginning new music and new concerts over the next 9 months. As I finished my last concert in December with Kelly Dean, Erin Wright, Jose-Miguel Yamal and Charlie Perez, I will be looking forward to continuing work with the group and writing new music. Also, University of Houston will be holding a concert in April where I will be debuting a few of my big band charts. Hope to see some friends in the audience when the time comes.

For now, I will be relaxing into the new daily routine and trying to learn as much from score studies, music copying and composing. Look out for dates to see the musical The Wiz running at the end of January and beginning of February. I will be playing bass in the pit and working with some great musicians. Not much more for now and see you around.
